Aluminium composite Pump Track for the Maldives

The evolution of portable pump tracks continue here at Bike Track People, in August we designed and manufactured a bespoke glass reinforced plastic (GRP) and aluminium pump track for a customer in Singapore.  The track is scheduled to be installed on an island development in the Maldives in November.  Specifically designed to meetthe clients environmental requirements.  With more and larger tracks of this type currently in production we look forward to seeing this robust, weather resistant, expandable track in other parts of the world.

Selkirk Bike Festival – Taking over the town centre

1st May brought the massively popular Selkirk Bike Festival which is organised as part of the Selkirk MTB Marathon.  The plan is take cycling to the community and they do this by closing the main high street and setting up lots of bike related activities which are free for everybody to have a go.  Its a fantastic idea and this year included the very popular airbag, trails display team, rollapulaza, our new pump track and a whole bunch of equipment and bikes, not forgetting Hardie’s Bikes who setup a pop-up shop.  With small narrow streets, open shops, toddlers, teenagers and racers the atmosphere was fantastic.  A big well done to Paul and his team for doing this as it certainly appears to bring everybody together to have a good time on bikes.
