Timber Tracks
What’s a timber track? Putting it simply it’s something along the following lines
“A trail centre that we bring to you”
“A cycle track that provides education, confidence, exercise, balance, control and above all, fun for all abilities and ages”
“An all in one cycling experience that lets you have a go at biking and experience some great trail features in a safe and fun environment”
“A stepping stone to getting you out into the forests, hills or local trails”

We are biased, but we think it is all of the above, no matter whether you are a 2 year old or 200 year old, we think you will enjoy yourself. You don’t have to be a pro, in fact its better not too; we supply the track, the bikes, the helmets, the support and the teaching.
So how does it work?
Well, using computer aided design, we initially designed and subsequently built a ‘north shore’ style wooden track which is basically like a full size Scalextric or Hornby train track for cyclists. Its just good fun for everybody, you can race on it, play on it, learn on it and the kids love it. It’s great exercise, a fantastic confidence builder and the BikeTrack crew can provide on track biking tuition to help you get the most out of having a go. It can incorporate a green, blue, red or black trail, so there is something for all ages and abilities. It can be just about any shape or size and indoor or outdoor.
You can hire one, you can buy one or we can design one and support you building it.
Hiring - You can hire a track for a half day, a day, a week or longer. We turn up, build the track, supply the bikes and equipment and get you riding, we teach riding skills from learning to ride a bike to improving balance and control. It’s about fun and getting all ages and abilities on a bike. It’s safe, it’s insured and it’s easy!
Buying – How about having a fully portable or permanent track for your school, club, community, organisation or even your garden. We can combine a track with natural trail and include skills areas, jumps and lots of great features. The advantage of one of our tracks is you can change shape or increase difficulty as your riding progresses.
Design – Are you thinking of a bike park for your community, club or organisation, well why not let us design you a track or a trail. We can work with you to make sure you get what you would like, support the development and help you build it and take ownership of your own bike park.

Green Trail – A low level wide trail designed to teach you how to ride, gain confidence and most of all enjoy yourself. Suitable for all ages and abilities
Blue Trail – The main trail on the timber track, from ground level to 30cm high, the trail features are designed to improve the riders balance and control on a bike. With a 1m wide trail it is safe and helps the rider gain confidence and sample some of the features which you may see at a trail centre or out on a local mountain bike trail. Suitable for all ages and abilities
Red Trail – Taking the trail to the next level, higher, thinner and features which simulate that of a red trail. Designed to improve confidence and bike handling skills. Body position and transfer of weight are key to maintaining momentum and being a smooth rider. The trail includes step down’s, step up’s, rollers and a host of features which get you thinking.
Black Trail – For the more advanced, confident rider. Thinner, rougher and tighter features requiring a greater degree of control and balance. Drops, gaps and skinnies with wheel lifts and bunny hops compulsory.
