Hiring a Track
We like to get people of all ages on a bike and this is where hiring a track is a great idea. Events, birthday parties, villages shows, marketing events, schools or big international shows, we can bring a track to you. Its about getting people on a bike and having a go whilst having fun and learning at the same time. The tracks are fully insured, fully risk assessed and all of the Bike Track People team are highly trained mountain bike instructors as well as first aiders.
How does it work? We basically try and make it as easy for you as we can. All we need to know is where and when. We arrive to ensure the track(s) are setup and ready, the tracks can be branded for your event or company. We look after sign-on, and work hard to ensure everybody has a great time. We can pitch the track(s) at different levels from beginners to experts or both. We can provide the bikes, all the equipment and everything needed and we pride ourselves on leaving the area as we find it.
Where do we go? We go anywhere, we regularly travel up and down the country with track, working at events, for local authorities, charities and groups. Just get in touch and we will provide a quote and hopefully take things from there.
We hire the tracks on a daily, weekly or event basis. The base costs include,
- A Track (within a 20m x 10m area)
- Bikes, we have a full fleet or this years mountain bikes in all sizes from balance bikes to large 26″ adult bikes
- Helmets, Compulsory on the track
- Insurance, £5m Public Liability Insurance, Indemnity Insurance
- Full setup and operation of the track. Our fully trained mountain bike instructors are there to make things easy, both for the organisers and the participants.
Packages (per day)
Pump Track – 20m x 10m area (16m x 6m Oval Track), Full Tuition, 3-4 riders on the track at one time. prices start from £795 +VAT + transport and accommodation (if required)
Interactive and fun, a pump track is about balance, control and momentum. With no pedalling involved it is a safe and fun way to improve the ability of the rider. The fun starts with some expert tuition from the fully trained mountain bike instructors at Bike Track People. We teach the riders how build momentum and maintain speed and control without pedalling. Once the riders have mastered the technique, we run some fun races and challenges, a velodrome style pursuit race whereby the riders have to catch each other without pedalling, it usually results in lots of laughing and wanting to have another go. For those that know what they are doing, we can operate a reverse pursuit where the object is not catch the person in front, its not as easy as it sounds and gets the mind thinking as as well as improving the riding technique. Its all about having a go, having fun with a little bit of teaching thrown in. Its open to all all types of riders from ages 6 and upwards.
Timber Track – 20m x 10m area (Blue & Red grade trail) Full Tuition, 4 riders on the track at one time. prices start from £995 +VAT + Transport and accommodation (if needed).
The forest track provides a great interactive experience and is designed to get people on their bikes. It is basically a fully portable trail centre complete with green, blue, red and black trails and features including berms, drops, tabletops and ramps. It is as close to a real trail centre as we can get without being in a forest. The tracks are manufactured from timber with an initial green and blue trail to inspire confidence in the rider and the bike. This can be followed by a go of the red trail and Bike Track People team provide tuition and try to do everything we can to provide a fantastic experience for all those involved. The best way to describe it is a big ‘scalextric’ track for cyclists which is great fun, very safe and is hugely enjoyable to ride.
